The Venice Glass Week is the international festival founded in 2017 to celebrate, support and promote the art of glassmaking: the artistic and economic activity for which the Lagoon City of Venice has been renowned around the world for over 1,000 years. The fourth edition, #TheHeartOfGlass, takes place from September 5 to 13, 2020.

One of the new initiatives of the Festival is Conversations on Glass by Apice, a programme specially designed to involve international audiences in the festival: seven digital “conversations” in English, created in collaboration with Apice, one of the most prestigious transport companies for works of art, which are live-streamed on The Venice Glass Week YouTube channel from September 7 to 13, 2020.  A recording of all the events will be subsequently available to watch permanently on The Venice Glass Week YouTube channel.

The conversations, which involve high-profile speakers from Italy and abroad, aim to provide a platform for reflections and discussions about the world of glass. Various topics will be covered, from the relationship between glass and contemporary art to collecting, as well as the impact of Murano glass in the world.
